American Artist Appreciation Month

August is American Artist Appreciation Month, so why not check on some of our titles to spark creativity in your child! Below you will find titles that are available in our collection that highlight art all kinds.

    

   


This would also be a great time to introduce your child to color theory. Talk about primary colors, get out some paint and make secondary colors! You could also make a color collage book with your child. staple some white paper together and get out some old magazines and let your child cute and glue pictures to the page that matches that color.

I have also provided the link to small lesson book on Andy Warhol that can be printed off and given to your child. There is a brief bio and some activities that highlight his work. The booklet was created to be printed two sided and stapled together. ( This is so the pages match up).
