She was the smallest girl in the smallest grade.
But Sally notices everything—from the twenty-seven keys on the janitor’s ring to the bullying happening on the playground. One day, Sally has had enough and decides to make herself heard. And when she takes a chance and stands up to the bullies, she finds that one small girl can make a big difference.
Grammy-nominated children’s musician Justin Roberts, together with vibrant artwork from award-winning illustrator Christian Robinson, will have readers cheering for young Sally McCabe.

Literacy Extenders:
- After reading these two titles ask your child how these two books are similar? Ask them what the overall message is that each book is trying to teach.
- Ask them what Peace is to them and ask them to tell you different ways they could extend a peaceful offering to another person.
- As you and your child are reading the first book from above, ask them how each child must be feeling as the story unfolds. Ask them how they would feel if someone pushed them down a slide or tripped them at school. Also try approaching this from another angle and ask them if they were to make bad choices if people would want to be their friend.
