- Be the first to say Hello to someone
- Compliment a patron or staff member
- Treat everyone you meet the way you want to be treated
I am a firm believer that we are the best examples for children, we need to live what we speak, and speak from the heart.-
Make Kindness an everyday routine.
Kids Kindness Challenge Materials:
- You will need two jars for this, one to hold all of the kindness suggestions and another jar for marbles of quarters. You and your child will add a marble or quarter each time you complete a kindness challenge.
- Print out the sheet below of suggestions.
- Cut them out and glue or tape them on to Popsicle sticks (this is great for little fingers-fine motor skill)
- Decide weather or not you want to add marbles or quarters to the second jar. If you choose to go with quarters, when your jar is full take two dollars and let your child choose one thing at the dollar store, then explain to them that the rest of the money will go to someone else who may need it... Talk to your child about all the things we need and use everyday and go ahead and purchase them to donate.
- For example ask your child the things you need at bath time or for brushing teeth...I.E. Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, wash cloths, bath toys, ECT.
- If you choose the marble method, after your jar is full find an open space poor out the marbles and as they scatter all over, explain to your child how little things make a big difference.
