- Parents and caretaker's of children know that little eyes are always watching us....we must do what we say, so they can do what we do. Share your enthusiasm of books with your child so they too can gain an appreciation for reading...Pick one night of the week where you turn of the TV, and yes, that means Mom and Dad too.
Keep books in every room of the house, so that your children see them and are always accessible. I know at times with children the accumulation of books can be a bit overwhelming, but the consistency and availability will help to build a life long reading habit.
