Earth Day is coming up, so last night we got ready by reading some stories and making a few crafts! We Read Compost Stew and The Earth and I. The kids talked about all the different ways that they are able to be a friend to the earth, We then made a recycle poster from newspaper and old magazines. The colored magazine pages made up the inside of the earth collage. We then added some marker to fill in the white space and other details to our posters.
The kids were also able to make a Earth day mascot! They colored their earth and then added the arms and legs. Our mascots will be a reminder to be a friend to the earth when ever we can
