ABC Sensory Activity

Quick Lit Activity

Are you looking for a quick sensory/literacy activity for your little one? Grab a gag of large dry beans and write out the ABC's in capital letters (one letter on each bean). After completing those place them in a see through zipper case or Ziploc bag. Next, take more beans and write the ABC's in lower case letters (one letter per bean). Now, take those beans and the rest and place them in the bag with the ABC's you already created. Your child now has a their own I SPY A-B-C game. Explain to your child that they need to match the capital letters with the lower case letters as they go on searching.
  • You could also add number or color components to this game to add a new twist when the letters get old.
As you can see on the sample below this sensory bag was done with sight words.
Sight words written on beans inside a pencil bag. Shake and read the words that pop up~use with bible words...I spy letters!
