So Many Bunnies, A Bedtime ABC and Counting Book by Rick Walton
Old Mother Rabbit lived in a shoe. She had twenty-six children and knew what to do.
From Abel, who sleeps on a table, to Zed who sleeps on the shed, help Mother Rabbit tuck a whole alphabet of adorable little bunnies in for the night.

CRAFT: Egg and Chick
  • Large Easter egg printable sheet
  • Yellow Construction paper cut in the shape of a chick
  • Crayons, glue stick, and Scissors.
DIRECTIONS:
  • Print off the egg coloring sheet. Below is an image you can print off.
  • Cut out the chick out of yellow paper. You can use the image on the right as a guide for the shape.
  • Make a cut half-way through the egg horizontally. This will be where you glue the yellow chick, so it looks like it is hatching.
  • Then color!

Literacy Extenders:

  • Die Easter Eggs
  • While dying eggs learn about color theory. Teach your child the primary and secondary colors..Show that what happens when you mix colors.
  • Add Crayon drawing to your egg and talk to your child about how it shows up. Explain to them that wax is color resistant so that is why the area does not change color with the rest of the egg.
  • After reading the ABC bunnies go back through the book and see if you can make other words that rhyme with each bunnies name.
  • Make an Egg ABC Matching game. Use plastic eggs and on the top half make a capital letter and on the bottom half make the corresponding lower case letter. Ask your child to match them up.
